Attempted Assault on 12-Year-Old Christian Girl Foiled, FIR Registered

In Bhopar village, Tehsil Kamoke, a landlord identified as Qasim son of Asif allegedly attempted to forcibly assault 12-year-old Christian girl (A), daughter of Imran Masih, after entering her home yesterday. The girl raised an alarm and managed to escape from the accused.Upon learning of the incident, the terrified parents contacted MPA Punjab Emmanuel Athar Jalis. The MPA and his team, including PML-N leaders Naeem Shamoon, Hayat Ghouri, Andreas Boota, and others, immediately reached the scene and had an FIR registered against the accused.According to the family, after the FIR was filed, the accused began threatening the victim’s parents. In view of the situation, MPA Emmanuel Athar Jalis met the affected family again and assured them of his full support until justice is delivered.The MPA directed police authorities to immediately arrest the accused and ensure legal punishment to curb such heinous crimes. Following this, the CPO took suo motu notice and arrested the accused. However, threats from the accused’s associates are still ongoing.Local residents say that whenever an incident of abuse against a minority family occurs, MPA Emmanuel Athar Jalis and his team promptly reach out to support the victims.
