Emergency Meeting Condemns Forced Conversion and Underage Marriage in , Faisalabad

An emergency meeting was held in Daud Nagar to discuss and condemn forced conversion and underage marriage, chaired by human rights activist Lala Ruben Daniel and Chairman MAP Advocate Akmal Bhatti. The meeting was hosted by Munir Akash, Director of Jesus Plus Ministry Faisalabad.Prominent figures including Bishop Anwar, Zahid Bashir, Yeshu Bhatti, Daniel Gill, Sarfraz Gill, Pastor Shams, Pastor Samson, Pastor Bashir, Pastor Afzal, Farooq Ayoub, Faisal, Elder Saleem, Pastor Nisar Aslam, and Pastor Shaukat Sharif Shahbaz Gosh attended the meeting, strongly condemning forced conversion and marriage.
The meeting discussed the forced conversion of individuals under 18 years old. Lala Ruben Daniel emphasized that if legislation is passed, the government will have to consult the Islamic Ideology Council. He also stressed the importance of timely registration and proper upbringing of children.Advocate Akmal Bhatti highlighted the need for legislation to address forced conversion and marriage, ensuring justice for victims. Other attendees echoed similar sentiments, attributing these issues to adults exploiting their power and authority, rather than children.
