AWARD Pakistan Organized Environment Awareness Rally and Tree Plantation Campaign on International Environment Day

In compliance with the initiative of the Government of Pakistan to promote environmental protection and awareness, AWARD Pakistan celebrated International Environment Day on 5 June 2026 by organizing an awareness rally and tree plantation campaign with the participation of more than 100 enthusiastic youth members.The purpose of the activity was to promote awareness regarding environmental protection, tree plantation, cleanliness, and collective responsibility for building a greener and healthier Pakistan. Participants carried banners and placards displaying messages about environmental protection, pollution control, and the responsible use of natural resources.Following the rally, youth participants and guests planted saplings at different locations to highlight the importance of tree plantation and to contribute practically towards environmental improvement.Addressing the participants, Mrs. Christina Peter, Senior Vice President FWCCI and Executive Director AWARD Pakistan, delivered an inspiring message on the importance of environmental conservation. She stated that climate change and environmental pollution are among the greatest challenges facing the world today, and encouraged young people to become ambassadors of positive environmental action within their communities.In her speech, Mrs. Christina Peter said:”Environmental protection is not only the responsibility of governments and organizations, but it is a collective duty of every citizen. Our small actions such as planting trees, reducing waste, conserving water, and keeping our surroundings clean can bring meaningful change for future generations. Youth have the power to lead this transformation and build a greener, safer, and healthier Pakistan.”Special participants of the event included Mr. Yousaf Adnan, Executive Director Care Foundation, Mr. Farooq, Mr. Pervaiz Paul, Mr. Irfan John, Mr. Akmal Javed Gill, and AWARD Pakistan staff members, who actively participated in the environmental awareness and tree plantation activities.The speakers appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the youth and reaffirmed their commitment that AWARD Pakistan will continue its efforts for environmental awareness, tree plantation, and sustainable development in the future.The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to continue practical efforts for environmental protection, plantation of more trees, and the promotion of sustainable development
