A grand inauguration ceremony of the Christmas City and Pakistan’s tallest Christmas Tree was held at Lasalle High School and College Faisalabad, led by Reverend Brother Sajid Bashir, Principal of Lasalle High School and College Faisalabad and Sector Coordinator of Lasalle Brothers Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Reverend Father Abid Tanveer, Vicar General of Faisalabad Diocese, Father Khalid Rashid Asi, Director of the Institute of Human Rights and Peace and Justice, Father Khalid Mukhtar, Diocesan Youth Director, Sister Naseem Niamat, Principal of Sacred Heart Girls High School Faisalabad, and other dignitaries.
The event began with a prayer led by Brother Qalb Noor, Youth Minister, followed by the lighting of the first candle by Reverend Brother Sajid Bashir and Father Khalid Rashid Asi.
Reverend Father Abid Tanveer emphasized that the Christmas celebration is a reminder of the coming of Jesus and a message of hope, peace, joy, and love. Father Khalid Rashid Asi said that people eagerly await the Christmas season and the beautiful Christmas cities and trees.
Principal Reverend Brother Sajid Bashir expressed gratitude to the administration, teachers, students, and staff for their efforts in making the Christmas celebration a success. The event was well-coordinated by Mr. Adeel Faraz and Ms. Aini.
