Interfaith Dialogue Titled “Restoring Dignity” Held in Faisalabad,

An interfaith dialogue titled “Restoring Dignity: Promoting Solidarity Among Faith Communities” was held on July 28, 2026 at Quailim Marquee Hall, D-Ground, Peoples’ Colony, Faisalabad. The event was jointly organized by the Peace and Development Foundation (PDF) and the Pakistan Partnership Initiative (PPI).The chief guests included Mr. Ashraf J.W. Malik (CEO, PPI), Titus Prince (Senior Program Manager, PPI), Ms. Madiha Irshad SHO, *Ms. Rehana Yasmin, Deputy Director, Social Welfare & Punjab Bait-ul-Maal, Faisalabad, Pastor Imran Samuel, Dr. Adnan Farooq, Ms. Sana Bilal, Inspector, Atif Jamil Pagan, and other distinguished guests.Madam. Romana Bashir, CEO PDF, hosted the beautiful event.A large number of religious leaders from different faiths, civil society representatives, human rights activists, and citizens participated in the event. The objective of the dialogue was to promote mutual respect, understanding, and unity among people of different faiths in Pakistan.
On this occasion, Father Khalid Rashid Asi, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Kokab, Ms. Christina Peter, Ms. Romana Bashir, CEO PDF, Lala Robin Daniel, Prof. Anjum James Paul, Advocate Atif Jamil Pagan, Dr. Abdul Hafeez, Dr. Jafar Hussain Mubarak, Allama Syed Hasnain Sheraziband other speakers emphasized in their addresses the need for collective efforts to protect human dignity, ensure equal rights, and eliminate hate speech and prejudice. They said that Pakistan’s strength lies in its diversity, and that interfaith harmony is essential for national development and social cohesion.The event poster featured a scale of justice placed on an open book against the backdrop of the national flag of Pakistan, symbolizing justice and peace.Prominent personalities were also among the guests. The speakers agreed that religious tolerance is the foundation of a peaceful society.The organizers stated that such dialogues are part of the Peace and Development Foundation’s ongoing efforts to build a peaceful society and promote inclusive citizenship. At the conclusion of the program, all participants expressed their commitment to work together for tolerance, justice, and solidarity among different religious communities.Mian Nadeem Ahmad, Anchor 94 Faisalabad, performed the duties of stage secretary and added to the grace of the event.The event was coordinated by Yousaf Adnan, Farooq Ayub, and Arif Gill.
