On January 5, 2026, a deeply troubling case was reported from Village Asa Nagri, Sheikhupura. 13-year-old Christian girl Aneeqa Fiaz, daughter of Fiaz Masih, was allegedly kidnapped from her home and forcibly converted for marriage.
Aneeqa’s parents are devastated and pleading for her safe recovery and protection. Their pain reflects the harsh reality faced by many religious minority families who live in constant fear simply because of their faith.
LEAD Ministries has strongly condemned this incident. Pastor Imran Amanat stated that this case highlights a pattern of violence and coercion against Christian women and girls in Pakistan, calling for urgent action by law enforcement and government institutions.
Sardar Mushtaq Gill, Founder of LEAD Ministries, rightly said “No child should ever live in fear of abduction, forced conversion, or coerced marriage because of their faith.”Human rights groups have long warned that such cases—especially involving underage girls in Punjab—continue to occur, while families struggle to obtain justice. We urgently call on the authorities to recover Aneeqa safely, ensure accountability, and strengthen protections for religious minorities and vulnerable children across Pakistan Justice for Aneeqa is justice for all vulnerable children.
