The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed that the Australian
men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan later this month for a three-match
Twenty20 International series. All the games are scheduled to be played at
Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium.
1
st T20 will be played on January 29
2
nd T20 will be played on January 31 and
3rd and final T20 will be played on February 1.
With the Australian squad set to arrive on January 28.
This high-profile series comes at a crucial time as both teams prepare for the ICC
Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, offering valuable match practice ahead of the global
tournament. Pakistan, placed in Group A, and Australia, in Group B, will use
these fixtures to fine-tune their line-ups and give their players vital competitive
exposure.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed described the tour as a
“blockbuster beginning” to the year for cricket fans in Pakistan and encouraged
supporters to turn out in large numbers to cheer both sides.
The announcement underscores the continued return of major international
cricket to Pakistan and highlights the growing confidence of top teams in
touring the country’s venues.
