Christian Lawyers Association of Pakistan Elects New President

On November 9, 2025_ – In a General House meeting held on 8 November 2025 at the Session Court Library Hall, the Christian Lawyers Association of Pakistan (CLAP) announced that its members have unanimously elected Advocate Mr.Riaz Anjum as President. The session opened with a prayer led by Advocate Shamashad John and featured a report from the Unification Committee presented by Advocate Javed Gill.Members engaged in a constructive discussion on the committee’s findings and the agenda items, which included the formation of an Election Commission and the scheduling of future elections. After thorough deliberation, the house approved the establishment of the commission and set a date for the upcoming polls.
The newly elected president expressed deep humility and gratitude, thanking colleagues for their trust and outlining priorities such as advancing legal rights for Christian professionals and fostering greater inter‑community cooperation. Special prayers were offered during the meeting for the health of members, national development, prosperity, and lasting peace and security.
