At the 12th convocation of GC University Faisalabad, a mother-daughter duo from Faisalabad achieved a remarkable milestone. Widad Waheed, a student of BS Psychology, was awarded a gold medal, while her mother, Dr. Saadia Waheed, received her PhD degree in English Literature at the same ceremony.
This proud moment has set a unique precedent, as both mother and daughter were honored simultaneously—one with a doctorate and the other with academic excellence. Widad Waheed is the daughter of senior journalist, Waheed Lodhi, and Dr. Saadia is his wife.
